Edgehill, premier CCRC in Stamford, CT, is seeking a Facilities Director to join our leadership team.

The Facilities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of the community’s physical plant in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards guidelines. Ensures that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner. The Director will be in charge of organizing and managing the maintenance, housekeeping, laundry and security teams.

Special Licenses or Skills Required:

  • General appliance repairs, carpet repairs, A/C repairs and electrical repairs
  • HVAC, Electrical and/or Plumbing Certification preferred.
  • Carpentry work, welding, painting and plumbing.I
  • Installation of appliances and electrical fixtures.
  • Property improvement plan and preventative maintenance program
  • Compliance with company safety policies and rules and wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed
  • OSHA safety standards that are applicable for the safe performance of job
  • Complies with all policies as outlined in company manual


Job Requirements

Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in a management/director capacity, in a maintenance position. Experience in a senior community, hotel and/or resort a plus.
  • Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have average written and oral communication skills to be able to understand and follow directions.
  • Must adhere to OSHA safety standards that are applicable for the safe performance of this position.
  • Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc., as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 80 pounds.
