Job Description

Bedford Falls is currently looking for a part time front desk receptionist to join our team.  This position requires the availability to work evenings (4p-7:30P) and/or weekends (8a-2p, 2p-7:30p).  It also requires the ability to cover vacation and holidays.

The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the information referral center for all residents, families, and other visitors to the community. They must be aware of all daily activities, administrative staff, and management company roles.  They are responsible for answering questions and directing calls accordingly. In addition, the Front Desk Receptionist must be able to work independently to a high standard in a vibrant and fast-paced environment, have excellent computer skills and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail. 

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates the understanding of emergency call and nurse paging system
  • Make visitors feel at home when they arrive 
  • Professionally handles phone calls in a timely and courteous manner
  • Greets all residents, associates, and visitors with a warm smile and pleasant tone of voice
  • Communicates changes to the doctor appointment book
  • Manages beauty and barber appointment book
  • Acts as concierge for residents (calling taxis, handling telephone and/or cable problems, checking newspaper deliveries, etc.)
  • Keeps lobby clean and neat, free of clutter and trash
  • Reports any mal-functioning equipment to maintenance
  • Assists the Community Sales Team with sales and administrative support
  • Participates in in-service trainings as required by state regulations

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATICATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate preferred.
  • Possesses expert knowledge of telephone system and capable of teaching others

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Possesses expert knowledge of telephone system and capable of teaching others
  • Demonstrates proficient computer skills (word processing, email, internet, Excel, etc.)
  • Maintains awareness of all daily activities (and changes)
  • Has full knowledge of the administrative staff, ownership, and management company
  • Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills
