Job Description

The Birches at Concord, NH is offering training for Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Home Health Aide (HHA) positions.

We have created an opportunity for you to pursue your goals in healthcare and grow with the Arbors of Bedford team. We invite you to learn more about a training opportunity to train as an PCA/HHA.

Interested candidates must be able to pass a background successfully, have weekend availability and a passion to care for seniors. We invite those candidates to apply to our program to earn your PCA while working for us and transition into a FT position upon completion at The Birches at Concord. Once you have completed the PCA/ HHA training you may perform the following roles in our memory care community:

  • Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transfer, mobility, and continence care while using appropriate modeling and validation techniques
  • Supports the residents' abilities by understanding that all aspects of care can be viewed as an activity
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the cognitive, physical, behavioral and psychosocial approach to all aspects of dementia by using a sensitive approach to all aspects of resident care
  • Encourages residents to participate in daily activity program
  • Serves residents food as directed, including feeding skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Job Requirements

• Valid HHA certificate required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred
