Job Description

we are seeking a Maintenance Worker/ Painter who will be responsible for performing painting duties and maintenance repairs independently under the direction of the Director of Maintenance.

Some weekends will be required


  • Prepares and paints assigned areas both neatly and professionally.
  • Cleans, services, maintains drain lines and air conditioner condensate lines.
  • Installs water heaters including all necessary parts, sinks and parts including spouts, cartridges and shut off valves.
  • Installs toilets and all necessary parts, drain traps, sink pop-up drains and kitchen sink strainer baskets and related repairs.
  • Services and maintains appliances with minor malfunctions such as refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers, dryers, heating and air conditioner units including filter changes, water strainers, etc.
  • Performs installations of blinds, shades, curtain rods, hang pictures, mirrors, small cabinets, shelving units, towel racks, etc.
  • Repairs drywall, spackle, caulk, paint and prepares empty apartments for occupancy.
  • Cleans carpets with cleaning machine when needed.
  • Building maintenance inside and outside of building
  • Completes the moving of furniture when needed.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm equipment and procedures.
  • Complies with facility policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, application of universal precautions for blood borne pathogens, use of personal protective equipment and handling of hazardous materials
  • Performs other duties as assigned.



Job Requirements


  • High school graduate or equivalent with trade, vocational or technical training.
  • Two (2) years experience in building trades and/or general maintenance preferred.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
