The Commons in Lincoln is seeking a sales professional who wants to be part of an innovative and dynamic sales culture that focuses on making a difference in the lives of seniors. 

As a Director of Community Relations for Benchmark Senior Living, say goodbye to transactional relationships with prospects, telephone call blitzes and sales urgency built around promotions.  Instead you will drive occupancy in your community by developing meaningful personal relationships with potential residents, their families, and professional partners through our commitment to prospect-centered selling. 

Additional responsibilities for the Director of Community Relations include:

  • Supporting prospective residents throughout the entire sales process.
  • Maintaining detailed prospect and professional profiles in the Sherpa database.
  • Generating and up-keeping the sales pipeline and waitlist. 
  • Comprehensive understanding of your community’s competitive market landscape.
  • Researching and/or visiting competitors’ facilities.
  • Building a trusting and positive relationship with prospects by understanding the Benchmark product and how Benchmark Senior Living can meet customer's needs.
  • Take prospective Residents and/or Families on tours of the community.
  • Cultivating and managing reciprocal professional relationships throughout marketplace.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales & Marketing on marketing and sales plans.
  • Schedule and promote lead-generating events.

Job Requirements

As a Director of Community Relations for Benchmark Senior Living, you must be an empathetic, diligent and committed active-listener with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Additional requirements of the Director of Community Relations include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • 3-5 years of proven sales experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Possessing a driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle
