Activities Assistant - Skilled Niursing

IS CREATIVITY YOUR PASSION? We are looking for an Activities Assistant for our Skilled Nursing community. The Activities Assistant organizes and implements programs designed to meet the individual needs of our residents. Our program touches upon the six key dimensions psychological, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs while promoting self-esteem in a caring, nurturing environment. The Activities Assistant supports and assists in all necessary programming.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in the development and implementation of personalized programming
- Demonstrates knowledge about residents regarding background, participation needs, physical abilities, interests, cognitive capacity, and attention span capability
- Shows a consistent ability to coordinate multiple tasks, demonstrates a cheerful outlook, and works well under pressure.
- Must have a high school diploma, bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues. Must be qualified by experience and training to develop programs appropriate for elders and disabled individuals.
