The Corporate Counsel will work with internal business clients on a variety of initiatives and projects, under guidance from the Deputy General Counsel and Senior Attorney.  The primary areas of responsibility will include contract drafting and negotiation, responding to requests and inquiries from the field regarding a range of legal matters, and assisting the Senior Attorney with transaction work.

 Responsibilities:

  • Draft and negotiate contracts between Benchmark, its vendors and other third parties
  • Field questions relating to contracts
  • Conduct due diligence and document preparation for transactions
  • Oversight of IP/Trademark matters
  • Assist on corporate governance matters
  • Perform legal analysis of matters encountered in and arising from Benchmark operations
  • Ability work remotely

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATICATION:

  • BA/BS degree
  • Juris Doctorate degree required
  • State Bar licensure
  • Five plus years’ prior experience as a practicing corporate/transactional attorney in a law firm and in good standing
