Benchmark Senior Living (BSL) was founded in 1997 by Tom Grape, CEO, and is the largest provider of senior housing in New England. BSL is a leading service provider in several key areas including: independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing and short stay programs. We currently own and operate sixty-two communities in the six New England states, including two in New York and one in Pennsylvania. There are an additional two communities under construction with plans to continue expansion through both new construction and strategic acquisitions. We are looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the newly created role of Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition.

The Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition leads the business’s recruiting efforts. The Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition ensures that the strategic direction and objectives of the department support the business’s growth while simultaneously maintaining its culture and quality standards.

The Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition leads the evaluation of the recruiting function, strategies, and procedures in order to find opportunities for improvement. The Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition oversees full cycle recruitment in support of all the business’s functions. He/she explores and implements practices that allow the business to attract top most talent to the business.

Critical to achieving excellent results, is the ability of the Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition to build strong relationships and deliver results in a rapidly and constantly evolving environment.

Objectives and Responsibilities of the Director Corporate Talent Acquisition

Corporate Office Recruitment: Responsible for full cycle recruitment at the Corporate Office including managing the requisition process, sourcing, screening, offer and initial on-boarding. 

Leadership/Supervisory Role:  The Director of Talent Acquisition provides leadership in the establishment of the employment brand and develops supporting materials in order to communicate value proposition through the business’s employment advertisements, career sites, job descriptions, and other employment materials.

Strategy/Tactics: The Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition leads the execution of comprehensive recruiting strategies that will guarantee that the business attracts and hires the top most talent in the business. The Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition endeavors to develop strategies and processes that utilize both traditional and modern/current/innovative sources in order to cover all possible talent pools available to the business.

Required Qualifications of the Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition

Education: The Director of Corporate Talent Acquisition must have a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: A candidate for this position must have 5 to 7 years’ experience in a senior recruiting position, preferably working as the Head of Recruiting in a decentralized, multi-site, fast-paced and highly competitive business. The candidate must have a proven and successful experience managing full-cycle recruiting processes consisting of sourcing, screening, and on-boarding.

Computer Skills/Ms Office: A suitable candidate must have superior computer skills and demonstrate proficiency in the use of Ms Word, Ms Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, all necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging reports for HR executives and key stakeholders, as well as extensive knowledge of ATS usage and data reporting.
