Job Description

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Director of Sales Education and Learning. The Director of Sales Education and Learning’s purpose is to design, plan, conduct, coordinate and implement a comprehensive sales training program for Benchmark. S/he will create ongoing training offerings with resources that support and promote a consultative sales culture across all of Benchmark’s communities.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop initiatives to advance employees sales effectiveness, business excellence and core competencies.
  • Determine training requirements by evaluating sales and marketing strategic plans and current sales results; conferring with sales leadership; reviewing results of manager coaching and evaluating training effectiveness.
  • Interact with sales leadership and training representatives to develop training curricula specific to department needs and ensure that department staff are effectively trained on policies, processes, and requirements.
  • Effectively train the sales team to master Prospect Centered Selling initiatives as well as develop and grow skill sets to match our evolving business.
  • Develop enterprise-wide training materials/programs and work with HR to on-board new hires.
  • Manage multiple complex blended learning projects simultaneously and develop training programs for new hires and on-going development including e-learning, workshops, simulations, certifications, job aids and on-the-job learning activities.
  • Build and analyze the return on investment of all sales training programs and take necessary action to meet departmental objectives.
  • Effectively incorporate adult learning styles and best practices to engage all types of learners.

 

 

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- CERTIFICATICATION

 

  • BA/BS degree in business, education, or another related field
  • 3-5 years experience in sales and marketing, preferably in senior housing and/or 5+ years of demonstrated success in design and implementation of effective training
  • Previous senior living or healthcare industry experience a plus
  • The trainer should also have experience teaching sales techniques
  • Experience in instructional design is a plus
