Job Description

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a Family Advocate to support our communities with our leads. The purpose of the Family Advocate is to function as an inside sales advisor responsible for educating customers on senior living and care options that match their needs.  In this role, the family advisor will provide education, support and align with the customer throughout their search with a focus on scheduling and facilitating tours at Benchmark communities as an appropriate next step for the customer.  As the flow of business activity is dependent on the customer’s needs, this role must maintain a flexible schedule to include Saturday or Sunday 2-3 times per month.  (schedule of Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday) and 12-8 shift once per month.

 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

1. Source opportunity through inbound internet leads and in the existing lead base as assigned to the Director of Business Development.

2. Be familiar with the Benchmark communities and teams in the assigned territory with a strong understanding of the Benchmark difference and services available to customers.

3. Understand customer needs and the senior living sales cycle.

4. Schedule tours for the customer directly with the appropriate Benchmark community with the appropriate sales professional in the community and provide details and insight to help facilitate the tour for the customer.

5. Maintain the existing lead base with personalized assistance, integrity and discovery details recorded in Yardi which will help move the sales forward providing the right solution to the customer.

6. Achieve weekly goals for call outs to the lead base, voice to voice contact and tours confirmed.

7. Present the company and self in a positive and professional manner to residents, families, professional referral sources and other Benchmark associates.

8. Make formal public presentations to residents, families, professional referral sources and other Benchmark associates on an as-need basis.

9. Develop and/or produce reports on a routine or ad hoc basis.

10. Assist in reaching occupancy and sales productivity goals for the assigned territory.

11. Work collaboratively with community teams to emphasize the team’s role in sales.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSURE- 

  • BS/BA preferred.
  • Previous experience in sales in a service related industry.
  • Previous experience working with the needs of the elderly or disabled is highly desirable.
  • Valid Drivers license required.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  •  Experience working with a CRM required.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  •  Strong listening skills.
  •  Strong phone presence and experience in making multiple calls on a daily basis.
  •  Ability to be flexible with hours of service as a result of changing    market/customer demands.
  •  Comfortable and skilled with phone communications, a self-starter and goal oriented.
  •  Ability to build rapport, trust, and to communicate effectively.
