Benchmark Senior Living at Putnam Farms is seeking a skilled and passionate Food Service Director to join our growing team of culinary professionals at Benchmark Senior Living.

Job Responsibilities

While the Food Service Director position does contain several management duties, this is not a full administrative position. We expect this individual to be hands-on and on the line helping your cooks prepare and serve food at least 2 shifts per week. In addition, this person is expected to become integrated in the Benchmark community, interacting with residents and resident families and when necessary act as a liaison between residents and your staff.


Job Requirements

Requirements for the Food Service Director include:

• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures, was well as related Health Department regulations and guidelines pertaining to food service operations
• Strong experience leading a kitchen in a hospitality dining environment
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong people skills and the ability to communicate well, as well as diffuse various situations that may come up during the course of a shift
