Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a dedicated and professional Housekeeper to join their team. 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping the home office clean and safe for staff and visitors. S/he will also be responsible for cleaning offices and common area space.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates effectively with supervisor
  • Maintains a clean office in an orderly manner and stores chemicals in accordance with product or supervisor instruction
  • Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of bio-hazardous waste
  • Thoroughly cleans/disinfects all assigned office space as scheduled by supervisor
  • Cleans/disinfects bathrooms completely: swabs toilet bowl, cleanses sinks and bathtubs, wipes counter-tops, cleans mirrors, and clean floors
  • Vacuums all exposed areas completely, including edges
  • Empties and rinses (if necessary) wastebaskets
  • Cleans & disinfects kitchen area completely: wipes counters and under objects, mops kitchen floor
  • Washes inside of windows as needed
  • Dusts flat surfaces that are uncluttered and demonstrates care of personnel belongings
  • Clean all office areas according to disinfecting standards and practices including elevators, halls, landings, stairs, kitchen, lobbies, bathrooms and high touch areas as scheduled or requested by supervisor
  • Maintains the cleanliness of public restrooms
  • Follows standards and practices for the use of specific chemicals and is familiar with emergency procedures if chemicals are misused

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years Housekeeping experience
  • Demonstrates appropriate physical stamina to perform general cleaning tasks.
