Job Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Generalist you will maintain a close relationship with corporate and regional Human Resources as well as the Organizational Development teams.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of all core HR functions including training.
  • Facilitates trainings at the community level to include employee in-service, general orientation and other human resource related trainings.
  • Ensures full compliance with all federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
  • Audits and ensures compliance of personnel files, HR documentation, and Benchmark policies.
  • Drives the recruiting process, posting positions, sourcing, interviewing and candidate follow up.
  • Provides recommendations for hire.
  • Facilitates new hire process and ensures compliance of documentation, training, and orientation.
  • Manages Worker’s Compensation case management including light duty assignments.
  • Reviews possible staff member disciplinary action and assists with any unemployment claims.
  • Fields any employee relations matters and works in conjunction with the Department Heads and/0r Human Resources Business Partner on resolving issues.
  • Interprets policies and procedures and communicates to all employees both proactively and in response to questions.
  • Coaches managers on how to handle associate relations issues, to reward and recognize associates and to communicate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborates with culture ambassadors to ensure programs are launched/thriving in community.
  • Coordinates employee recognition programs.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Applies state and federal employment laws/regulations to the work environment.
  • Understands and can communicate various benefits plans available to associates (and corresponding laws)
  • Possesses a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Experience with an HRIS, preferably Ultimate Software and Kronos.
  • Strong organizational, oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates effective time management and organization skills and has the ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and an ability to lead an environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration

 

 

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business-related field; 4-year degree from an accredited university in a Business-related field preferred
• Must have excellent organizational skills as well as effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Be knowledgeable in regards to ADP payroll systems.
• 5 to 7 years of Generalist experience with progressive responsibilities in HR
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of HRIS system a plus
