REGISTERED NURSE DESIGNEE

EDGEHILL, a Benchmark Senior Living Community in Stamford, CT is seeking a caring and compassionate Registered Nurse for the position of "RN Designee". This position is ideal for someone who is devoted to providing care to seniors in an intimate setting of less than 40 residents total.

 Job Responsibilities

The Nurse Designee manages the successful operation of the Resident Care Department, under the leadership of the Resident Care Director (RCD).  The Nurse Designee is responsible for the oversight, coaching, and direct supervision of all resident care service providers within the community.  The Nurse Designee’s management scope includes direct supervision of resident care positions, resident assessment, and management as defined by the Resident Care Director. The Nurse Designee fills in as the leader for the Resident Care Department in the absence of the RCD.

  • Valid Connecticut Registered Nurse license
  • Current CPR certification
  • 1-2 years Homecare/Assisted Living experience (other experience with the geriatric population may be considered)
  • Knowledge of Dementia care a plus
  • Must be able to move at lest 50 pounds without assistance
  • Must be able to bend, reach and work in small areas
  • Must be able to push and pull equipment and furnishings
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

As the “Nurse Designee”, you must be approachable as well as flexible and professional with your staff, residents and family members. You must also demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of Benchmark Standards and Practices before assuming your position as “Nurse Designee.”
