Job Description

Benchmark on Clapboardtree currently has employment opportunities for a Line Cook.

  • Full Time: Tuesday - Saturday Schedule
    • Tues/Wed/Fri/Sat - 6:00am - 2:00pm
    • Thursdays - 11:00am-7:00pm

        Starting at $20 -$24 depending on experience.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of two years experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred.
  • Tuesday - Saturday Line Cook Schedule 
  • Put food orders away
  • Prep for the following day
  • Assist with cooking/baking for functions
  • Assist with Chef Demonstrations
  • Communicate with DSD about low stock items
  • Occasionally place orders

 

Job Requirements

SEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Culinary Arts training a plus
• 2 years dietary experience 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Must be able to interact effectively with residents and staff.
• Must be able to work effectively with residents and personnel.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures, was well as related laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to food service operations.
• Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Lift up to 50lbs
• This is primarily a standing position where an employee may be required to stand in one place for extended periods of time. They also will be exposed to extreme heat and cold temperatures.
