Job Description

Benchmark at Rye is willing to pay you to train and become a Certified Personal Care Assistant.  Must be a compassionate Home Health Assistant to join our team! As a Home Health Aide, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

Full time 30 + hrs. a week. 3rd shift Available with $2.00 diff.  Permanent Schedule Tues. through Saturday 10 p - 6 a or Mon., Tues., Friday and Saturday schedule.  2nd Shift 2 p - 10 p with Sunday to Thursday permanent schedule or Sun., Mon., Fri. and Saturday shifts with $2.00 diff pay rate for nights. 1st shift shift is Sunday, Monday, Friday and Saturday 6 a to 2 p.

Competitive Pay: $20.00 minimal up to $21.25 base rate.  Nights and weekends earn the $2.00 differential rate in addition to base rate.

PCA Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
  • Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
  • Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
  • Other duties as needed.

Job Requirements

HHA Requirements:

  • Valid PCA Certificate which we will pay for you to take class or CNA-HHA license or certificate required.
  • Prior experience in an assisted living community. Memory care experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrates proficiency at reading and understanding a Resident Care Service Plan or assignment (e.g., ADLs and introductory visits)
  • Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired.
  • Willingness to learn!
