Job Description

Benchmark Senior Living seeks an Human Resources Business Partner to join our Human Resources team. This key role will deliver Human Resource strategies that support the organizations goals, initiatives and priorities. The Human Resources Business Partner will have accountability to an assigned division comprising of 10-12 locations within MA/RI and will serve as the primary Human Resource partner working collaboratively with field leadership to develop and maintain a culture that supports Benchmark’s mission, vision and values. The Human Resources Business Partner will be a strategic advisor on all HR field matters with generalist experience in all HR functions to include employee relations, leave of absence, talent management and recruitment, employee policy enforcement, onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, compliance with state and federal regulations, Investigations, and compensation.  The Human Resources Business Partner will consult with subject matter experts at the corporate level to support more complex challenges in the field.

Position will require travel approximately 80% of the time across multiple states.


Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to your assigned division around talent issues, including organizational design, role definition, career development, compensation, management & leadership mentoring and change management.
  • Proactively supports the delivery of Human Resources Talent Processes, procedures and strategy by understanding the needs of their division and creating a talent strategy that meets current and future needs.
  • Acts as an Employee Relations Coach and advisor for field leadership.
  • Facilitate the consistent application, implementation, and improvement of Human Resource policies, processes, and programs (e.g., merit and promotion planning, performance management, employee relations, career development, etc.).
  • Support the implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that align with organizational priorities and goals, to include input and influence in policy and practice generation.
  • Participates in various Human Resource training for Executive Directors and Department Heads.
  • Identify trends and themes across the division and recommend strategies to ensure compliance and consistency.
  • Partner with Center of Excellence (COE) Support functions (Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Compensation and Organizational Development) at the corporate office to leverage functional expertise and implement new practices/programs.

Job Requirements

Education/Skills/Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field,
  • 10-15 years’ experience of progressive responsibility in Human Resources/Organizational Development
  • Ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels in a multicultural environment while building strong, trusted relationships.
  • Excellent consulting and conflict management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Facilitation skills and experience.
  • Strong organizational, motivational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
  • Working knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws.
