Job Description


We are searching for a  Lifestyle/Programming Coordinator to lead our Activities & Recreation team. We here at Village of Buckland Court are a very close team of professionals who have a passion for their job. We would like you to become an important member of that team!

 This position is responsible for coordinating, implementing and evaluating community programming to enhance resident’s experience, while developing and cultivating relationships with current residents, families and with community organizations. Working with the Programming staff, she/he understands resident interests and needs to design and deliver a comprehensive yet innovative activity program focused on the Six Dimensions of Wellness geared to establishing and maintaining Human Connection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing the Activities Staff to ensure proper execution of planned events
  • Overseeing scheduling of events, trips, meetings, rooms, and group functions
  • Developing, promoting, coordinating and overseeing community events
  • Editing, producing and distributing a monthly community newsletter
  • Participates in plan of care development
  • Responsible for all regulatory practices to meet State of CT, CMS and Benchmark Senior Living requirements.
  • Participates and supports the admission and discharge process.
  • Present and Engaged with residents and families – meal service, family meetings, admissions and discharge

Job Requirements


  • Therapeutic Recreation Director (TRD) Certification preferred, but not necessary.
  • Three years' experience in Assisted Living and/or Sub Acute Rehab setting a plus.
  • Certification and/or Experience in Dementia Care preferred.
  • Flexible Schedule- willing to work on weekends and holidays. 
  • A Passion for Serving Seniors a Must!
