Job Description

Benchmark Senior Living in Lincoln, MA is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our 35-acre property. A successful candidate plays a vital role in the property's day to day impression on existing and prospective residents. Would be expected to maintain a high level of quality customer service and professionalism while ensuring that all Benchmark maintenance policies and procedures are consistently followed.

Full Time and Part Time positions available!



  • To aid in maintaining all buildings, common areas, and grounds in a safe and clean manner for our residents and staff
  • Perform special assignments as needed or required by the Maintenance Supervisor
  • Performs various community maintenance functions including light bulb changes, light electrical, light plumbing, filter changes, lock repairs, resident work orders, HVAC repairs, help in unit turns and PM work.
  • Responds to resident service requests and concerns in a timely manner using the Worx Hub system with the use of a tablet
  • Assists in monitoring maintenance inventory
  • Be able to operate hand tools normally used in day to day tasks, power tools including drills, circular saws, reciprocating saw, and hammer drill
  • Consistently maintains a professional and courteous attitude when dealing with our residents, coworkers, visitors, and the public

Job Requirements


  • High School diploma or Equivalency with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the building trades
  • Demonstrated experience with all phases of building management, including knowledge of electricity, plumbing, painting, carpentry and HVAC systems
  • Able to read, understand and work from drawings, schematics, service manuals and other materials pertaining to facility maintenance, equipment, systems and repair
  • Must possess a valid MA driver’s license
  • Able to work independently with only moderate supervision
  • Willingness and capability to respond to site emergency’s
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Internet Explorer with the ability to learn new software applications


  • Physically able to move at least 50 lbs. without assistance.
  • Physically able to bend, reach and work in small areas.
  • Physically able to push and pull, equipment and furnishings.
  • Physically able to stand and to work on hands and knees for long periods of time.
