Job Description

Benchmark Senior Living (BSL) seeks a dynamic, entrepreneurial, Project Manager (PM). This individual will oversee the conception, implementation and analysis of critical internal projects for Benchmark’s new Wellness division.  The PM will drive projects through the full project cycle, managing multi-disciplinary teams across the BSL organization.

The ideal candidate understands and executes corporate project management processes and industry best practices which include but are not limited to: building and executing a project plan, monitoring and controlling project work, managing scope, managing resources, ensuring quality control, maintaining effective communication with team and all stakeholders, managing risk, monitoring and controlling project costs, and facilitating the implementation and training for suggested changes.

The PM will apply his/her knowledge and skills to a range of activities and will facilitate the overall timelines utilizing project management methodology and deliverables. This position requires strong relationship-building skills and a comfort working with all levels in an organization. In addition, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven track record of consistent project completions are a must. This position reports into the President of Benchmark Wellness.

       Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Perform sophisticated analyses to support the planning, design, development, and delivery of continuous improvement and performance initiatives
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Track project status and managing project issues and risks to include financial analysis, measurement and evaluation of progress/quality/costs, developing action plans to address gaps throughout project life cycle, adherence to compliance processes, and problem resolution
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Communicate project plans and project status updates, issues/risks to the project team, stakeholders and management
  • Enforce compliance of project management methodology and deliverables
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with peers, cross-functional teams, vendors and management using exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Anticipate needs to accelerate results
  • Identify and remove obstacles to change

Job Requirements

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION/ LICENSE CREDENTIALS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Formal Project/Program Management certification (i.e. PMP) and/or Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt required
  • 7 to 10 years of project management experience
